Privacy
The calculators on this site run entirely inside your browser. What you type never leaves your device, is never sent to us, and is never stored anywhere.
That is not a policy decision we could quietly reverse. It is how the site is built: there is no server to send anything to. The arithmetic happens on your phone or laptop, using a file your browser already downloaded.
1 What we collect
| Your postcode, floor area and other answers | Never leaves your browser |
|---|---|
| Your name | Never asked for |
| Your email address | Never asked for |
| Your phone number | Never asked for |
| An account or sign-in | There is none |
| Advertising or tracking cookies | None |
Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for you to ask us to correct or delete. If that ever changes, this page changes first and we will say so before you are asked for anything.
2 What does leave your device
- The usual web request. To send you a page at all, your browser has to connect to our host, which sees your IP address and which page you asked for. That is how the web works, and it applies to every site you visit.
- Fonts. Pages load two typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google’s servers see that a browser requested them.
3 If you click through to an installer
Whenever there is a link on this site that earns us money, it is labelled as such beside the link itself, not only here.
4 Who to contact
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office about how any UK site handles your data, including this one.
